Considering that the business of air transport entails the transportation of humans, animals, goods, and other products that can act as hosts for viruses and disease, it is important that the participants of this course be knowledgeable on the cleaning/disinfection standards that ICAO and IATA suggest being implemented. 

 

At the end of this training course, the participant will successfully be able to:

  • Explain the importance of Aircraft Disinfection
  • Identify the sources of bacterias, viruses, and transmissible disease 
  • Explain the disinfection procedure to be observed by every crew member involved in the operation of the aircraft
  • Identify the different disinfection products that are acceptable to be used in the aircraft
  • Demonstrate the correct cleaning procedures on different locations on the aircraft

 

Course Description and Objectives: (Aircraft Pest Control)

Considering that the aircraft is operated in environments wherein pests and wild animals can be present, we cannot avoid these animals from entering the aircraft. The presence of pests or wild animals inside the aircraft is considered dangerous as they can damage sensitive electrical wirings, electronic components, or other structures. We also have to factor in the effect on the hygiene and cleanliness that these animals bring as well as the negative impression it can affect to the passengers.

 

At the end of this training course, the participant will successfully be able to:

 

  • Explain the importance of aircraft pest control
  • Identify the different pests that enter the aircraft
  • Demonstrate the different procedures in managing pests
  • Identify the different locations wherein pests are present
  • Explain the possible effects of the damages pests can inflict on the aircraft
