Course Description and Objectives:

Aircraft cargo plays a vital role in any Air Operator’s operation. Passengers onboard the aircraft are entitled to carry a certain amount of weight of the cargo. Other airlines that operate larger aircraft also operate a cargo handling business which serves as additional revenue for the Air Operator.

With all of this being said, it is then important for all ground personnel to be aware of the different safe and operational procedures required to ensure safe and efficient cargo operations.

At the end of this training course, the participant will successfully be able to:

• Determine different types of cargo
• What are Dangerous Goods
• Knowledgeable about the different designs and components of the cargo compartment
• Procedures in cargo loading
• Different tools and equipment needed in cargo handling
